NEWS ABOUT LSM GOLF STUDENTS

July 2007 EWGA & LSM Golf working together again!

The CNY Chapter of the Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA) recently gave scholarships for three local young girls to attend the LSM Girls Golf Academy in July 2007. Pictured left to right are: Annie Basile, Margaret Mooney, and Alana Jones. We commend the EWGA for their generosity in encouraging young ladies to golf.

July 2007 2007 SWDGA Scholarship Winner is Jillian Fraccola

Jillian is the captain of the Fayetteville Manlius Girl's Golf team.
She recently was the Section 3 champion at Green Lakes Gof Course and followed that up by winning the State Championship at Foxfire. She will be attending the University of Richmond on a partial golf scholarship. She will be graduating from F-M High School . Jillian will receive $1,250 for her four years in college.

Two Judy McLean Scholarship Winners Announced

Morgan Yoder and Dineen Notman have both been awarded a one-time $1,000 scholarship. Morgan was the second place finisher at Green Lakes in the Section 3 championship and has competed on the Liverpool Golf Team. She plans to attend Rutgers University on a partial golf scholarship and will be studying engineering. Dineen has participated on the Solvay Boy's golf team and will be graduating from Solvay. She plans to attend Penn State on a partial golf scholarship and would like to become a PGA professional and teach others the game of golf.

It is interesting to note that all three have been competing in golf as well as helping teach others the game. All three: Jillian, Dineen, and Morgan have helped Linda Mulherin at her golf camps and clinics. They are truly worthy recipients and represent the SWDGA very well.

GENERAL NEWS OF INTEREST

LSM Golf Schools have incorporated the use of video and computer software into some of its teaching.  Private lessons and the Full Swing Clinic make use of state-of-the-art software when appropriate.

We'll video tape your swing, input it to the computer, then compare your swing with those of Tiger Woods, or another well-known successful golfer.  You'll be able to see where your swing needs improvement and the problems your swing may be causing you.

When you schedule your private lesson or Full Swing clinic, ask about video taping.  Seeing is believing!
