Bridget Erwin Wins Section III Title
~ LSM Golf Student Achieves Her Goal ~
Congratulations to Bridget Erwin, winner of this year's Girls'
Section III Division Golf, and one of Linda Mulherin's students.
Bridget Erwin is a senior at Christian Brothers
Academy and will attend Siena College in the fall on a partial golf
scholarship. She has competed on the local and national level, and
is nationally ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard.
Locally, Bridget played for the CBA school golf team.
Nationally Bridget has played in several
prestigious AJGA tournaments. Her best finish was 9th
at the Jeffrey Isner Memorial Tournament at New Seabury,
Massachusetts in August 2003 with scores of 75, 81 and 82. The
highlight of Bridget’s golf career was qualifying for the Westfield
PGA National Junior Golf Championship in Westfield Ohio. Here, she
played alongside US Junior Girls Amateur Sukjin-Lee Wuesthoff, who
defeated Michelle Wie for the title.
Playing golf has opened up a world of
opportunities for Bridget and she has met many exciting and
wonderful people along the way. She is excited to play golf at the
Division I level next year.
