Congratulations to Maggie Lester, LSM Golf Student, and one of Linda's summer assistants for finishing on top in the 2004 Post Standard Women's Amateur Championship.

Lester, a sophomore at Penn State, and a member of their golf team, scored a 2-over 73 at Dutch Hollow to take the championship. In her subsequent press interviews, she gave Linda some of the credit for helping her with her wedge shot.

Maggie Lester's game has reached another pinnacle with her win in the Women's Herald event. It has been a journey in the last few years as we worked to achieve different goals that she has set. Maggie has been so close so many times, and with this win I see a springboard to many wonderful things for this young woman. Maggie has worked with me this summer as an intern with the PGM program at Penn State and it has been a pleasure to watch her continue to grow as a player, employee, and friend. She has become like a daughter to me!!
