Q: |
How long have you played golf? |
| |
A: |
Since I was a teenager, but not
seriously until the 70s when I started taking lessons, first from
Auggie Nordone at LaFayette, then Earl Mower at Onondaga, (with
tune ups from Jack Conger and Joe Tesori) then no lessons for
about 18 years until Linda. |

| |
Q: |
What made you begin to play golf
and why do you continue to play? |
| |
A: |
Began playing golf in the small town
where I lived because my parents belonged to the local Oneida
Community golf course; continued playing over the years because I
love the game and being outdoors. |

|
| |
Q: |
Why do you take lessons? |
| |
A: |
I take lessons because I want to be as
good as I am capable of being; I started taking from Linda after
many years of no lessons and after the last few years of decreased
playing because I knew I was in need of some tuning up (I imagined
minor tune up, but Linda saw need for major rehaul.) |

|
| |
Q: |
Why do you take lessons from Linda? |
| |
A: |
Linda's lessons are terrific because
of the positive focus she brings and gives; when she began the
restructuring of my swing it was because there were mostly
negatives in the swing, but she never approached any single aspect
with a negative, rather, it was always, "I would like you to try
..." or "Let's try..."; she never clued me in on just how bad I
was because I would have been too discouraged to continue;
instead, it was one single piece at a time so I always felt as if
I was accomplishing something; she appreciates that not every
golfer has great feel or can attack several problems at once; also
the videos are a fabulous learning tool for people like me who
learn easier and quicker visually than orally. |
