I am a 17 year old senior at Cortland High
School. Next year I will be attending Longwood University to
play division 1 golf. My older brother (19) attends St. John's
University.
(And Mary's Mom adds: Mary is an
honor student and ranks in the Top Ten of her class. She has
been on the basketball and field hockey teams for four years.
She was chosen MVP and First-Team All League for Field Hockey.) |

How long have you played golf? |

A: |
Since I was 8 years old. |

What made you begin to play golf
and why do you continue to play? |

A: |
My dad plays so sometimes he would take me with
him to the golf course, the main attraction being riding in the
golf cart. I eventually got my own junior set of clubs and
started to take lessons. I discovered that I really enjoyed
playing. |

A: |
To continue to improve and be the best I can
be. |

What do you enjoy most about golf? |

A: |
The most enjoyable part is all the experiences
that have come along with playing. Meeting people and playing at
different courses. |

A: |
Solid iron play. My ability to stay focused and
disciplined has certainly improved. |

Consistency. It all depends what day it is! My
short game is what holds me back the most. |

I love playing with my family- my mom and dad.
I like tournament play, meeting and playing with different
competitors. |

your lessons? |

A: |
All parts of my game have areas that can be
improved. Currently I am working on tightening my swing. |

What was your most
memorable golf round? |
| |
A: |
One of my best/most memorable rounds was two
years ago when I shot a 73 during a CNY Jr. tournament at
Foxfire. Everything was just on. At that time it was only my
second time breaking 80 in a tournament and it was one of my
turning points in my game. |

What is your favorite golf course? |

A: |
Throughout tournament play, I have had the
opportunity to play at many different courses and I have enjoyed
them. |

A: |
I have a lot of favorites. I enjoy watching and
reading about them all, both male and female. It is so interesting
to watch their golf ability, their undying determination and
competitive spirits. |

I play field hockey and basketball. I enjoy
skiing, working out, and spending time with my friends. |

I have fun at all of my lessons. My first

has given me confidence and motivation to strive to be better. |
